Former Australian cricketer becomes the 48th Inductee
At the Gold Coast Sports Awards, the latest Inductee to the Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame was revealed – former Australian cricketer, Andrew Symonds. Born in England, Symonds moved to the Gold Coast as a teenager, where he lived and played during his glittering international career.
Arguably the most explosive all-rounder in world cricket for a decade, he made 238 appearances for Australia between 1998 and 2009 in Test and limited-overs matches.
