Celebrating Local Sporting

Excellence Since 1998

The Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame exists to honour the athletes, coaches, administrators and teams who have made an outstanding contribution to sport on the Gold Coast.
Founded in 1998 and located at Owen Park in Southport, the Hall is operated by a dedicated group of community minded individuals with a passion for preserving and celebrating our region’s sporting heritage. Through our collection, displays and programs, we aim to inspire future generations and highlight the vital role sport plays in the Gold Coast lifestyle.

WHAT WE DO

Preserving the Past. Inspiring the Future.

The Hall of Fame is more than a place of recognition, it’s a living record of our city’s sporting spirit. We proudly:
Induct and celebrate elite Gold Coast sportspeople and administrators
Host the annual Gold Coast Sports Awards
Collect, preserve and display sporting memorabilia and personal items
Share stories, videos and achievements of athletes through exhibitions and digital content
Welcome school and community groups for educational and inspiring visits
Encourage community involvement through volunteering, donations and partnerships
Our mission is to promote the importance of sport to the Gold Coast lifestyle, educate the community about the benefits of being active, and create meaningful connections through storytelling and shared history.
