About Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame
Located in a beautiful restored Queenslander at Owen Park in Southport, the Hall of Fame is operated on behalf of Gold Coast City Council and the Gold Coast community by a group of civic and sports minded persons to acknowledge, honour and promote Gold Coast sporting achievements by athletes, coaches and officials, at the elite level.
In addition to acknowledging the personalities themselves, the Hall also houses an outstanding collection of sporting memorabilia, much of it personally provided by the them, and is the home of Queensland’s only official “ Olympic Room”, dedicated specifically to Gold Coast excellence at the Olympic level.
The Hall is also home to an impressive library with an array of books on most subjects of a sporting nature.
Also contained within the Hall grounds is the Gold Coast Bulletin historical building which is now the home of the recently opened Commonwealth Games Legacy Hall. This is the City's iconic display of memorabilia, collectibles and other pieces associated with the 2018 Commonwealth Games held on the Gold Coast.
The Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame is well worth a visit.
